Algorithms for Family Docs

The approach to psychiatry in primary care is a mix of art and algorithm.  Often family doctors turn to evidence-based approaches established by recognized authorities.

I have included the most common psychiatry algorithms, roughly based on the Canadian Psychiatric Association recommendations:

Major Depressive Disorder(MDD) (May 2009, Practice Support Program, BCMA)

Panic Disorder(PD)

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD)

Generalized Anxiety Disorder(GAD)

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder(OCD)

These documents are public access, written by me based on the CPA guidelines, and are mostly for family doctors in Nanaimo, B.C., but of course available to any interested party.
